I think I will continue reading this series of comics because I enjoyed this one so much (I have read earlier issues and, again, enjoyed them immensely). Instead, it was a celebration of the fans' favorites throughout the years wrapped up in one intense story, which was a great way to do this. Obviously, some characters will get more attention than others, but it never felt like the writers were playing favorites. It's not just "Here, let's throw in every Power Ranger ever to Power Ranger in the last 25 years and call it an anniversary!" Nope, each character was selected to bring something to the story and they ended up paying homage to all of the different eras in a unique way (time travel and alternate dimensions are always great tropes to rely on in these things). The idea for this massive crossover is wonderful as well.

Overall, this was fantastic! I have enjoyed the great balance of maturity in story with the classic fun Power Rangers tone of the original TV show that these comics have had.
Tommy shows Drakkon that friendship and love are where true power lies and he defeats Drakkon.I basically read the entire Shattered Grid storyline in one setting, so this review isn't just for this particular issue (I'll find the others and mark them as "Read," don't worry). Tommy tells Drakkon that he's actually the weakest Tommy Oliver in all of existence because he's filled with the hate he overcame and let go of. Tommy lets Drakkon know that he's nothing more than the weakness he snuffed out in every single universe but Drakkon's. Tommy attacks Drakkon and is able to take equal possession of the Heart of the Master, which cancels out both of their powers. The key to defeating Drakkon is through his flawed human mind filled with self-doubt. This is where the emissaries escaped too and were able to slowly piece together Tommy's consciousness bring him back. This is why Tommy's soul was trapped in a Nether Existence between reality and the Morphin Grid. So what is Shattered Grid The event kicked-off officially in Power Rangers 25, which sees the newest Ranger villain Lord Drakkon returning to cause chaos. In the current universe, Tommy Oliver was once under Rita Repulsa's evil influence, but he took back control of his mind and eventually. However, when he killed Tommy Oliver, Drakkon was unaware of the Ranger Slayer's prior interference. Shattered Grid has nicely illustrated what it really means to be a Power Ranger, but that is no more apparent than in Jasons reply to the rest of the team. Drakkon will harvest the energy of each type of Power Coin and infuse himself with the collective energy to gain access to the heart of the Morphin Grid itself and manipulate the multiverse with his bare hands.ĭrakkon declares war against every Power Ranger in existence and one by one conquers the pocket universes and adds more Power Coins to his collection.
