You can do the same thing with celery, or you can wrap them tightly in aluminum foil to keep them fresh for longer. You can fully submerge them in water or just cover the bottoms of the carrots. You can store them for even longer if you store them in an airtight container with a little bit of water. Many vegetables have a long life in the fridge (carrots can last for three to four weeks with no extra prep work). I had to be extra careful to get any excess moisture off of the berries before putting them in the containers, but I liked this method better because I got all of the washing done at once.
